AIDED ASSIGNMENT OF SUPPORT AND FINISHING MATERIALS
The assignment of materials to the elements of our structures can be tedious and time-consuming. Based on feedback from our customers and consultants, we have decided to create a tool that certainly opens a new chapter in the field of assigning load-bearing and finishing materials.
This tool is divided into two main categories: support materials and finishing materials. Both are located in the WOODEXPERT’s Command Manager.
The “Assign a load-bearing material” function, thanks to the division into a type of material (1) and a search engine (2), allows you to assign materials to the selected components within a few seconds.
Apart from using the search engine, it is also possible to manually select the components to which you want to assign your material. In this case, by selecting the option “Skip components with previously assigned material”, the PLA2 material has been assigned to all components except for the doors that already had it.
Another function in our tool is “Assign finishing material”. It works on the same principle, but is enriched with a highly developed search engine for relevant component surfaces.
Thanks to the complex, yet easy-to-use search options, the user is able to assign finishing materials such as veneers or edges to the relevant surfaces with a single click. The automatic selection can of course be supported manually – by adding or removing selected edges or surfaces.
Thanks to this, in just a few simple steps we can reduce the time spent assigning load-bearing materials or manually modelling edges to just a few seconds.
